Hire a BDR/SDR in-house, or use a dedicated outsourced one?
UPDATED 2026-11-04 · AP3 TECHNOLOGIES
Hire in-house if you already have a sales manager, a working playbook and time to recruit and train. Use a dedicated outsourced BDR or SDR if you need to start sooner or have nobody to manage them. Dedicated means one person on your account, not a shared pool.
The comparison
| Factor | In-house | Dedicated outsourced (AP3) |
|---|---|---|
| Time to start | You recruit, interview and train | AP3 recruits and trains. We confirm the placement time before you commit |
| Management | You direct the work | AP3 directs day to day. You set the goals and priorities |
| Playbooks and tools | You build or buy them | Provided with the system a GTM engineer builds. You own your data and outputs |
| If they leave | You restart the search | We replace them |
| Control | Full | You set goals and access. AP3 runs the work, inside your company or for you |
| Cost | Salary and employer costs | A monthly price per seat after a scoping call. No figure is published here |
When in-house is the better choice
If you already have someone who can manage a BDR or SDR, a playbook that works, and the time to hire, in-house gives you the most control.
How the AP3 pilot works
A seat is one GTM engineer and one dedicated BDR or SDR. You start with a pilot of 60 to 90 days with measures agreed in advance and a weekly report, then decide on more seats. AP3 does not promise a number of meetings or any revenue result, and does not close deals: qualified leads go to your dedicated closer.
Questions
Does the BDR/SDR close deals?
No. They work leads and hand qualified ones to your dedicated closer.
Can I add more people later?
Yes. You start with a pilot seat and add more when you are ready.
How much does it cost?
It is quoted after a short scoping call: a monthly price per seat plus a program fee for the management, both written down before you commit.
